My name is Leanne and animals are my life. I completed an ND in animal management and was training to be a vet nurse until I developed occupational asthma and had to make the hard decision to leave. I would like to go into animal behaviour in future but have put all that on hold to get married and have a baby. I volunteered at a sanctuary for years and loved working with all sorts of dogs. My main interests are exotics and I have a lot of pets (mostly rescues) that include dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, mice, snakes, lizards, fish and giant snails!

Hi I'm Lesley, aka lukkylady, I'm 34 from Bangor, and have a 9 yr old son. Am animal mad like most forum members, I currently work in local boarding kennels which I enjoy a lot. I have 3 dogs, 2 yorkies and a whippet. My yorkies and a 5 yr old male named Beau and a 2 yr old female named Peanut, and my whippy is 10 months old and named Zoe.

My name is Chris and I love Irish wolfhounds and now have American cocker spaniels, lots of them. I live in Kent England and am co-owner of a site for lost and found dogs www.alfieslostdogs.com. We also help rescue dogs and have a forum for dog issues. I am also a Moderator for the Lost and Found on NIAR. I am cracking on in years and work with people with learning disabilities.

My name is Amanda Harper, I'm 34 and I live in Belfast with my 4 children and partner. I work from home running my own business. I have my rescue cat Tom and many fish. Recently, I lost my beloved dog Zara, my best friend. I have always loved animals and have had various jobs from Groom to Zoo Keeper.

Hi, my name is Lesa and I am 33. I was a solicitor but gave it up to be a full time Mum to my two children. Like everyone else here I am animal mad. I have 7 guinea pigs, 4 cats and a tank of goldfish. I am currently in the process of adopting 2 lop rabbits. I am very keen to promote the welfare of smaller animals such as guinea pigs and I also moderate on a guinea pig forum which aims to encourage adoption of guinea pigs in rescue shelters.
