My name is Kerrie. I live in Belfast with my wonderful menagerie of five dogs, two cats, a cockatiel, a budgie, a hamster, a terrapin and four goldfish (all are rescues bar the goldfish!!) and my long suffering family! I have been involved in animal welfare and animal rights for a number of years now, both on an individual basis and with the Animal Rehoming Foundation. I would say that I am probably the world's most unsuccessful fosterer though, as the animals never seem to leave once they come here! As well as being admin for NIAR, I am also a moderator for http://www.alfieslostdogs.com/. I enjoy walks with the dogs - especially in the forest or at the beach. I also love horror films and reading.

I am 29, live down the Ards Peninsula with my husband, our daughter, our two dogs Ben and Cody and a wean load of fish. Working for the civil service pays the bills.

On the rescue side, I have done transporting in the past but now   concentrate on homechecks.

 My name is Chris and I love Irish wolfhounds and now have American cocker spaniels, lots of them. I live in Kent England and am co-owner of a site for lost and found dogs www.alfieslostdogs.com.

 We also help rescue dogs and have a forum for dog issues. I am also a Moderator for the Lost and Found on NIAR. I am cracking on in years and work with people with learning disabilities.

Hi, my name is Lesa and I am 33. I was a solicitor but gave it up to be a full time Mum to my two children. Like everyone else here I am animal mad. I have 7 guinea pigs, 4 cats and a tank of goldfish. I am currently in the process of adopting 2 lop rabbits.

I am very keen to promote the welfare of smaller animals such as guinea pigs and I also moderate on a guinea pig forum which aims to encourage adoption of guinea pigs in rescue shelters.

My name is Amanda Harper. I live in Belfast with my 4 children and Partner.
We rescued a wonderful dog a year ago called Alfie and also a cat called Tom ( who is the boss of the entire house).
I also keep tropical fish lol.
Would have many, many more animals if my partner wasn't so stupidly sensible!!

Have also worked with animals most of my life, in Belfast Zoo and also as a groom for many years.
Animals give you so much and ask for so little in return I want to help them ask for that little bit of love they ask for!
